About Me
Heya! Welcome! :D
My name is Paul Winter and I create as Hybris. I started playing music, when I was 15 years old, but my love for music goes way back. When I was a child I vividly remember playing Terranigma, an old RPG for the SNES, exploring certain areas way longer than others, just because I enjoyed the music there so much. This game remains one of my biggest influences to this day.
It all started to click, when playing Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts. Around this time, I became more aware of the music and started analysing it. When I learned about Leitmotivs, everything changed and my love for composing music for games was born.
Now years later, I dove into the world of dynamic music compositions - pieces that adapt & react to the flow of the game - inspired by games like Nier and Doom. And I've learned, that you can't go wrong with combining all kinds of genres.
Now I aim to do just that, to help you find your sonic voice for your masterpiece and create its emotional landscape.
Aside from composing music, I also work as a music producer, mainly in the realm of heavy rock and metal. If you're interested in that, click here! (:
